Our new Junior Choir, Jubilee, will begin rehearsals on Monday September 8th from 6 – 7.15pm in the Lowry Room at St Faith’s Church, Lee on the Solent. Our aim is to run a choir which will be open to all children of 8 years and over in the Lee and Gosport community, regardless of their background, experience or ability. Although Lee Singers is based at St Faith’s Church in Lee on the Solent, it is not a church choir, and there is no commitment to church services, thus giving alternative opportunities to local youngsters who wish to sing.
We will be focussing on the enjoyment to be had from choral singing, and the teamwork and community spirit engendered by working towards, and participating in, performances of their work. We would like to welcome both parents and children to our first evening on Monday September 8th so that we can meet each other. Coffee, squash and biscuits will be provided, along with the opportunity for parents to join in with some of the singing activities planned for the children.
